Accreditation requirement lifted

Changes in regulation of qualifications mean that instead of accreditation, vocational qualifications in England and Northern Ireland will be scrutinized at various stages by Ofqual. Awarding First recommends Awarding Organisations consider their qualification development and life-cycle review processes more closely and review risks to factor this significant change in. 

Ofqual advise that risk-based quality checks will be made to make sure that qualifications are valid and good quality at the design, delivery and awarding stages. Read Ofqual’s Press Release
